SCC9 Authorization question

Former Member

Hi

Is there anywhere in the documentation a complete list of all the authorizations needed by the source system RFC user in order to complete a remote client copy ?

I need to copy the PRD client into QAS , and for that I need to create an RFC connection from QAS to PRD.

What are the authorization needed by the PRD remote user I am connecting to? ( assuming the SAP_ALL is not an option for me )

Thanks

Orna

Thank you for your replies

I looked at these documents before I posted this question , as well as several more , but I am still not clear.

They list the "Authorization needed to perform client copy " - but do not specify it it is for the source or the target system ( I assume the target )

one say :

"As of Release 4. 5, you still need the following authorization for a remote copy in the source system:

    • S_TABU_RFC"

So, I assume you will need this authorization on the RFC user , but is this the ONLY one I need ?

I think the documentation is very vague about it and I am yet to find one place that clearly states all the authorization needed for the RFC user

Hi Orna ,

from the same note

"The relevant authorizations for maintaining users and user profiles are necessary for copying user master data and user profiles"

Hence   believe for copying as well we need the S_TABU* authorizations

S_TABU* authorizations are required for the user performing the client copy  and the RFC user used in the source .

Thanks ,

Manu
