Hi Sap Gurus,

What is the difference between Plan Driven Procurement scenario in SRM 5.0 and SRM 7.01???

Can we use PDP scenario for indirect material procurement and service procurement with Classic scenario??

What are the changes/ developments you need to do in SRM to use PDP??

Does the below settings are common for SRM 7.01 PDP????

Hi Sanjay,

There are certain changes with respect to PDP scenario in SRM 5 and SRM 7.

IN SRM 5.0 we used to make use of the report BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER to transfer the PR's from backend to SRM system. From SRM 7 there is a new way to transfer PR from ERP to SRM sourcing cockpit using eSOA services. This method uses BADi ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST.

Check SAP Notes 1263876 & 1113524 to get more information on the changes to be done and also regarding the BADI.

Badi ME_REQ_SOURCING_CUST controls the transfers of PR from ERP to SRM.

There are three options:
- Once PR is saved it is transferred to sourcing in SRM automatically (this would be based on some logic similar to what we have in table V_T160EX
- Through CPPR a purchaser initiates the transfer to sourcing manuallya
- Through CPPR a purchaser initiates the creation of a saved RFX manually

Yes it is possible to use PDP scenario with classic as well wherein the PR would be created in backed and transferred to SRM and a corresponding SC is created and then the PO is then created to backend once the process is completed in SRM.

Inorder to not use BBP_EXTREQ_TRANSFER report and instead use the new BADI you need to have PI setup. The PR's will be transferred to SRM through xml.

For the question relating to whether the settings are applicable for SRM 7 then yes those are provided you do not use CPPR and instead use the old method itself.

CPPR is basically an alternative to transfer PR's from ERP to SRM. The user can manually transfer the PR's to sourcing cockpit. Another feature of this is the option to directly trigger the creation of RFX from CPPR itself. CPPR is used only if you do not want automatic transfer of PR from ECC to SRM.

Hi Promod,

If we are using CPPR for external requirements transfer to SRM system...

Do we need to follow the same configuration settings we did for plan driven procurement or not required?

Or

With the help PI everything will be taken care??? If we are using PI to get the external requirements how the system identify which PR's has to be transferred. For this do we need to maintain the entries in V_T160EX and V_T160PR??

Please Advice
