IW51 DefectiveQty field editable

Hi Experts,

in IW51, I already made field  "defectiveQty(external)" and "defectiveQty(internal)" editable through tcode OQFA, but it shows like password input field. How to make it display like a normal input field so that we can see what we entered?

Hi TS,

Is this problem happening for all service notification types (Ex S1, S2...) and PM notification (Ex M1, M2...)? Or only for S1 type? Please confirm if this issue is only happening for "Required Entry" fields or for all?

If this issue is happening ONLY for "required fields" then please can you go to Screen Layout configuration for notification type "S1" and see what all is checked there. Please try deactivating this 'required' check and suggest if you can display the inputs.

Thanks for your reply.

I am new to QM module. it is only for IW51 S1 type. In QM02 type Q2, it is working fine. it is not "required entry", just "input entry". I don't know which setting in SPRO to make type S1 also editable for these two fields.

Can you help more?

Hi TS,

Please can you try to check the below config nodes -

Quality Notifications => Notification Creation => Notification Type => Define Screen Templates => Field Selection: General Screens => Notification type = S1 => Enter

Scroll down to the below points -

DefectiveQty (external) = VIQMFE-FMGFRD

DefectiveQty (internal) = VIQMFE-FMGEIG

Please select only 'Input" option and save.

Similarly check for notification type "Q2" and let me know if you see any difference there.

I follow your IMG path, but not found "Notification type = S1" step. My screen is as below. the IW51 fields VIQMFE-FMGFRD and VIQMFE-FMGEIG still displaying like password input field.

how to configure to get the screen like yours which linked to S1 type?

Click on Influencing button seen in your screen.

Then Double click on Notification Type

Please can you do one more check at "Influences" under the above explained nodes.

It will suggest what all influences are working for your case. Also please suggest which version of SAP ECC 6.0 service pack you are using.
