Encryption ERROR - SSF error: Unknown error in external security product

Hi,

We trying to setup data encryption between ABAP and portal systems. Done with SAP Cryptographic configuration but ended up with the error : Encryption ERROR - SSF error: Unknown error in external security product. not sure what i am missing. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello,

For encryption to work the PSE must be created with the encryption Alogorithm set to RSA.

You need to check if it was created using DSA.

The documentation for STRUST and sapgenpse describes how this can be done.

Issue has been resolved. Recreating PSE with sapgenpse tool fixed the issue.

Can you give some more details about your environment and what you've configured? What release of ABAP backend and portal are you using? What kernel version? Are you using the SAP cryptographic library included with the kernel, or did you install something from a 3rd-party? When you say "done with SAP Cryptographic configuration," can you detail which steps you took? This will help to troubleshoot your error.
