HANA Cloud Connector and HCP - Not a productive HANA instance

Hi All,

I have HANA Cloud Connector installed on a test BOBJ 41 system.  I can access the cloud connector fine using localhost:8443, I have entered my account details fine and get to the connector state screen without issue.

When I try to add a Service Channel to connect to my HCP Trial account, I repeatedly get "Service channel could not be opened"

When I check the logs in the Cloud Connector I see these:

Caused by: com.sap.core.connectivity.tunnel.api.management.ConnectionFailedException: Unable to retrieve forwarding tunnel routing and mapping information due to: dbAlias 'myhcptest' is not a productive HANA instance or a HANA database  Response code: 404

When logged into the HCP Cockpit -> HANA Instances I see "Trial Instance - myhcptest" with Overall Health Green.

From the logs it looks like Cloud Connector will NOT work with an HCP trial account, is that correct?

Looking for any feedback!  Thanks!

Hello Ian,

I've just verified this with the HANA Cloud team, and unfortunately the "Service Channel" feature is indeed not activated for trial accounts. Only works with productive accounts...

Sorry that I can't be of more help,

Ulrich
