Query Link to PDF

I'm pretty sure this can be done using something like RRI but I cant seem to find any documents. Is it possible to drill down in a BEx query and open a related PDF. For example to drill down on a material in a report and open a PDF doc of information about that material.

Hello Joel,

it is possible if you make your material info object as document relevant for master data.

then you can create documents (create can mean using an existing document) that will be stored in BW.

Hi Conelia. Thats really useful. Thank you. I get the impression that the help implies that the documents would be held on BW somehow. What if the documents were stored somewhere else? Is that possible? At the moment all this is theoretical as its just an idea.

Hi Joel,

yes, thats right, the documents are stored in BW - actually I think they are stored in the knowledge warehouse.

I never worked with documents on other locations, RRI could be one solution - but you seem to have that checked already.

Otherwise maybe you could insert a link in the BW document.
