Default Reference number

Friends,

How can I default company code into reference number?

Company code is 1987

and default reference number is AE4563.

Please help.

Yes Sarah you are absolutely right that that feature is Ireland Specific.  My project is that I have merge an Irish company into another company.now I want to default employee register number using this feature, How can I use this feature to do it? Hope this clear everything.

Indeed it is. I'm not a PY-IE specialist but I can tell you that if you look at the structure for this feature (via PE03), you will found the supported decision field are

BUKRS Company Code

WERKS Personnel Area

BTRTL Personnel Subarea

PERSG Employee Group

PERSK Employee Subgroup

ABKRS Payroll Area

So I guess what you could is depending on say personnel area then company code xxxx is defaulted.

But yes it seems this feature should default the registered number .

It looks good to me! that should default  0097885Q for all employees belonging to company code 2001.

No you do not need to make a full tree, you need at least one decision field (as you have configured above), if this suit your company then it should work.

Hi Sandeep,

I'm afraid it is still unclear what you are trying to do.

The feature you are talking about is specific to Ireland and it's used to default an employee register number in infotype 0359, so if this is what you are trying to do then fine it will work.

Bit I'm not sure this is what you want to configure. I don't know any field called reference number in standard/international infotype, please clarify where you want this field to appear?
