Can't activate an infoobject or infopackage - Uncaught Exception CX_RSR_X_MESSAGE

Hello professionals,

I keep getting a run time error "UNCAUGHT EXCEPTION" each time I try to activate an info object or info package, I also receive the same error while trying to delete an info object.

On creation after I define the info object parameters and click activate I get the error below, though the object gets created, and when I try to delete it I get the same error and It doesn't get deleted.

We have re installed the system, it appears that this error occurs after we import BI CONT and BI CONT XT SP0004, below is a screen shot for the system status:

We have upgraded the package SAPKW74008 to 009, we've implemented many S notes, but it's all in vain, so please advise if you have any clue of the error's cause or how it can be fixed, thanks in advance.

Hello Dears,

Sorry for the late reply, we were working on something and it solved the issue, which has been solved by installing some SAP notes "SAP Notes for BW on HANA 7.40".

All the previous issues have been solved, thanks for your generous support.

Hi Mohammed,

Can you try with checking your info object in RSRV (Analysis and repair of BW objects).

Hello Mohamed,

If this issue is not solved yet then.

In your short dump can you click on 'Contents of system fields' and check the values of system variables? With the values of SY_MSGNO and MSGV1 we will know what is the exact message raised by application. Then we can pin point the issue. Also check if its not authorization issue (may be). Try with some other user id too doing the same thing.

Something like below:

Let us know out come.

Thanks

Hi Mohamed,
The dump is a general one, which should be read carefully to confirm the involved infoobject.
You may search by IOBJNM and find which infoobject is the issued one.
Then check it in RSD1 or RSD5 to see whether it is active/installed or not.
If it is not, please install/reactivate it.

Best Regards,
Sheldon.

Hello Sheldon,

This problem occurred after the basis team imported BI CONT and upgraded it to SP0004, have you worked with that SP lately?

I can't even create my own info object, and I just specify the data type and length, it's really weird.

Hi Mohamed,

Is it possible to attach all of the dump information by a text file so that we can check it further ?

Best Regards,
Sheldon.

Just checked it, it refers to a particular info object, it didn't help, I receive this while creating a custom object and when I return to RSA1 I find that It has been created, and when I try to delete it I receive the same error and it doesn't get deleted.

I've discovered this error from the beginning when I tried to create an infopackage to a datasource.

Hi Mohamed,

This note should help.

1778181 - UNCAUGHT_EXCEPTION dump because of wrong 0IOBJNM version (R7493)

You need to reactivate the iobject using the program RSDG_IOBJ_ACTIVATE.

Thanks

That's not it, I can't even create an info object that doesn't have any attributes or compounds, I specify the data type and length and I can't activate it.
