I am trying to upgrade a Visual Studio solution to VS 2013. When I install the Crystal Reports, I get a message that it was not able to install correctly. I am not able to edit any of my reports in VS2013. Any idea what I need to do to get this to work? I am running on Windows 7, 64-bit.
Thanks.
Hi Linda
make sure you are using the install executable. Also, if you have CR 10.2 or 10.5 (VS 2005, VS 2008), uninstall those versions of CR.

Ludek,
Thanks so much. Apparently, uninstalling the older versions was the key. I was able to get the main part of CR to install. However, when it prompted me to install the 64-bit version, it through an error before the install could be completed. I didn't see any information in the log file about this part of the install. Any suggestions?
Linda
I believe this is an MS installer error. Please see the following MS KB:
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/886549
If that does not help, see the results of a google search like 'Error 1606 installation'.
