Hi,
We have a PowerAMC 16.5 server with SP0 (I suppose, I only see 16.5.0.3982 in the client),which works OK, and a licence for 1 concurrent user.
We want to upgrade to SP4.
In the archive POWAMC165004_0-10013313.ZIP, I find 3 exe :
- PowerAMC165SP04_Portal.exe
- PowerAMC165SP04x86.exe (the client, I suppose it should be there)
- PowerAMC165SP04x86_Proxy.exe (useless for us)
I launch portal.exe. The 1st question is the server for a floating licence. I enter the IP and the port.
It complains that the licence is not ok. The log contains :
Even if I choose not to continue the installation, it continues to update, deploys a war and breaks everything: the portal does not find its licence.
Any idea to correct this or to make it reuse the existing licence ? (This is a virtual machine. I rolled back to previsous state.)
Hi Christophe,
I believe this is your case, check below:
If your license entitles you to SAP platform integration features and you are upgrading from v16.5 SP02 or earlier, you should regenerate your PowerDesigner license keys at SAP Service Marketplace (SMP) at http://service.sap.com/licensekeys to ensure that you have access to new features in this version.
Cheers

You have to upgrade your current license to support new version\features, you have to do it on the SAP
(Keys, Systems & Installations | SAP Support Portal).
Next you just have to replace the license on the server and restart the SYSAM.
Hope that it helps you.
Ricardo,
we have upgraded from PD 16.5 SP03 PL02 to SP04 PL04.
Everything works, except the WebPortal. During the installation it asks from License Server information. I'm providing this information and getting:
VerifyLicense
Cannot take a license for feature PD_SHELL [ 0x200d1]
Failed to obtain 1 license(s) for PD_SHELL feature from license file(s) or server(s).
Licenses exist for PowerDesigner16.5, but a license containing the configured (LT=FL;PKG=WBPM) attributes could not be obtained. Verify that PowerDesigner16.5 is configured to use the correct type of license, and either reconfigure; or generate and deploy the desired license from the Sybase Product Download Center.
License feature name: PD_SHELL
License search path: C:\Users\raka\AppData\Local\Temp\2\{0ED6F~1\{3BDB3~1\PowerDesigner.server.lic;
FlexNet Licensing error:-73,125
For further information, refer to the Sybase Software Asset Management website at http://www.sybase.com/sysam
So I went to SAP webpage and regenerated the licenses... applied the license, rebootet SYSAM... nothign... same error pops-up.
What seems strange to me, it asks for a license for PKG=WBPM - such a package doesn't exist in the license file...
And the second strange info:
License search path: C:\Users\raka\AppData\Local\Temp\2\{0ED6F~1\{3BDB3~1\PowerDesigner.server.lic;
But the file there contains only this:
SERVER SVR-PDHANA01.dev.ifb ANY 27000
USE_SERVER
Any clue what I'm doing wrong?
Thanks and regards,
Rafal
