We have DEV, PRD, Seperate SLD, have three H/W.

What is the best way to approach strategy to implement

JDI, should i install JDI on DEV, PRD, SLD, AND CMS Server?

CMS, should i install CMS on only spereate CMS Server?

Thank you in advance

you cannot use JDI for transporting SLD objects. You have to manually export and import them. SAP recomendation is to use a single SLD for the whole landscape.

i am confusing that Installation step for CMS with our environment. we will have four box(DEV, PRD, SLD, CMS)

To implement CMS, should i install JDI to DEV and PRD and SLD and CMS BOX each? or only CMS box?

To implement CMS, what should i install? and which box?

I would like to know rough step.

Only on CMS Box.

Install a WAS J2EE instance in the CMS box. deploy the JDI files in that.

Since u have 3 SLDs, I suggest to create all the SLD objects (DEV,QAS and PRD) in the DEV SLD. Export and import the content to other SLDs. Basically all the SLDs will have same data.

Connect CMS to the SLD in DEV.
