Online help to authorizations in SAP ERP, newest version

Hi

I am looking for the newest version of a SAP Online Help / Library to authorizations (roles, profile generator, etc.) in the ERP Central Component (optimally to users and authorizations in SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7). I only found an old version and nothing newer than

Hi Robert,

I started to write you an e-mail on how to navigate through SAP Help Portal's menu structure and got lost myself. That is saying a lot since I write documentation for the Help Portal, but for SAP NetWeaver and not SAP Business Suite.

Help Portal's search has improved quite a bit over the years. So I started again. I went to help.sap.com and entered "profile generator" in the search. I then added the filters for "SAP Business Suite" and then "SAP ERP". This is the result I got:

The first link jumps to the profile generator glossary entry in user and role management of SAP NetWeaver Application Server for ABAP in the ERP 6.0 release:

That probably is not exactly what you are looking for, but you are in the right neighborhood. If you can give me more information about what it is you are looking for, I can help you more.

I would also be curious to know how you did your search to land in the 4.5 documentation. If I enter "authorizations sap" in google, my second hit is release 7.02.

yes, I forgot to check the Global Search engine. It really works, that is exactly what I was looking for.

I was trying to find the entry point from here http://help.sap.com/erp607 clicking on Application Help SAP Library English and then clicking on SAP ERP Central Component but I didn't find anything about Identity Management here.

I landed on the 4.5 documentation entering in google "profile generator sap online help". That was the first result I got.

Thanks for the information about your search attempt. Just as a small hint, I often use google to look for my own documentation as well. When I do, I use the following google features in my querries:

site:help.sap.com - makes sure all my hits come from the Help Portal

inurl:saphelp_nw74 - makes sure all my hits come from the latest SP of SAP NetWeaver 74 Help Portal content.

The last one requires a little knowledge of how our content is built in the Help Portal. If you have a document from a specific release, directly after help.sap.com/ comes a release subdomain. The SAP NetWeaver releases are built with saphelp_nw<release>. For example 7.02 is saphelp_nw70ehp2.

Using inurl I find of course reasonable, however when I search with

identity management inurl:saphelp_erp60

I don't get any reasonable results. The results come only when I search with

identity management inurl:saphelp_erp60_sp

So you have to know it.
