How to identify link of Order Qty. to confirm qty. based on Sales Order schedule lines?

Hello,

We have a requirement to identify a link between Order Qty. entered schedule line wise in a sales order by person creating the SO and Confirmed Qty. schedule lines generated by system based on ATP Check. We use ECC ATP Check for certain materials and APO GATP for certain materials.

Also, we are not able to round off Confirmed Qty. in system generated schedule lines with respect to Order Qty. schedule lines created by person creating the SO. But rounding off is a separate topic which can be addressed separately.

Request help on linking part.

Hi,

i am afraid that there is not such a relation in the system.

I also missed the reason you want to do  that.

You have an order quantuty required by the customer and depending on the delivery date and ATP you could have 1 or more schedule line. Why your client wants to know which scedule line is created by the user and which by the backorder processing?

If it has something to do with the user and the changes they do maybe you should try the change documents as MoazzaM suggested.

Thanks for the inputs.

Reason for the requirement is that my Planning team gives commitment date about when the schedule line qty. (asked by customer) can tentatively be dispatched. We want system generated Confirmed Qty. and Date should be the default one for this commitment.

If there is any change in plan, then Planning team can revise the commitment dates. I know Backorder Processing also will help in this but we depend more on planning team's dates as of today.

Also, unless we have relation between Order qty. date and Confirm qty. date, I cannot quantify how accurate my system is giving the commitments.

Hello again,

i think you should check VBBE. of course ATP and planning is very coplicated issue.

when a sales order requirement confirmed by resheduling or backorder processing in a new date then you will hava another schedule line. Tables VBEP and VBBE are updated. VBBE will have two schedulelines with the same material avail. date. One for closed requirement and one for the new.

Please check it in your system as your scenario might be more complex.

Hi

For link between ordered and confirmed quantity system always keeps log in change log tables. If you have entered 10 quantity and system confirms only 7 you can see that in confirmed and ordered quantity fields. Next day you again run availability run and system confirms remaining 3. You can see this link in change log tables.

But I am looking for relation between each schedule line of Order Qty. to Confirm qty. With help of this we want to track when was the Order Qty. demanded and against it when and how much qty. system is proposing.

Say for eg. for one Sales Order and one line item, there 10 schedule lines entered with some order qty. for different dates. Based on this input and running ATP check, system gives commitment with 8 new schedule lines generated. So if we get result as below:

1. 3 order qty. schedule lines gets same date confirm qty.

2. 6 order qty. schedule lines gets confirm qty. in new 6 schedule lines for different dates

3. 1 order qty. schedule line gets confirm qty. partially split in 2 new schedule lines for different dates

Now this relation that is visible in schedule lines tab is the output after ATP check. This output we need to track for our analysis against each order qty. schedule line.

Hope I got my requirement clear. I think Change log table will not help me with what I am trying to look at. Request you to help on this requirement.

Hi,

I did check VBEP but no RELATION found. Please check below screen shot of VBEP. For mentioned Sales Order and line item 10, 4 schedule lines are present. Schd. Line 1 and 2 are created by user having Order Qty. and Schd. Line 3 and 4 are created by system with different dates based on ATP check. Now I want to have relation as to against schd. line 1, system has generated schd. line 3 or 4. There is no firm relation present in VBEP.

I dont think so system maintains this relation. You have to go for ordered quantity and confirmed quantity as a whole. Going for schedule line level doesn't seem possible to me but lets see if someone has some other solution to this.

Thanks for your efforts MoazzaM. I am trying to search for some FM or BAPI also which could read the schedule line wise data which can help build the relation.
