Reg Generic Extraction Problem

Hi..

I have a "ZTable" which has got Date fields, I generated a Data Source with Geeric Delta feature with one of the Date fields..the Data source is created and RSA3 shows the records of the table in the Datasource generated..but when i initialize it in Info package Scheduler screen..the initialization is not taking place, and no records are extracted from Datasource..Monitor Details Say that there are No Records in the Source System....When i check in the RSA7 of R/3..The correcsponding Datasource Generated Status Detials Doesnt show the Date field i chose for Delta option..Instad it shows some other Datasource name and Delta filed as Blank..

Hope i am clear in explaining...Can some body explain whatz happening..here..

Hi Kishore,

Go back into the generic datasource in the SAP source system using tcode RSO2, and confirm that the date field you chose is correct.

If it is, then resave the generic datasource, delete the delete init in BW, replicate the infosource in BW, then run your delete init process. This should synch it back up.

Hi Kishoure,

Delete the initialization request from data mart and RSA7 R/3. Check once again your data source of all parameters, which you had given for delta update. After that saves it and activates and replicates the same data source at BW and try to initialization. Hope your problem will be solve... if are facing same problem then give monitor details and message what your getting…

Hi Kishore,

You can also try doing a full Update first so that

all records in the Z-Table get extracted to BW . Then

you can try using Initialization without data transfer

to set the pointer. Later you can extract deltas once

Initialization is successful. Please let me know whether it solves the problem or not.
