source system XXXXX does't exist while opening DTP

Hi All

BW development system is entirely copied system from production, The issue is when i try to open the DTP's which are loading from PSA to next level showing error like  " Source System XXXXX does't exist". But other DTP's which are loading from target to target working fine.

   So could you please some one let me know the root cause of this and really appreciate if i get solution for the same.,

Hi,

When we copy from one server to another, we get this kind off errors.

First check your logical mappings at soruce and target systems.

Table - RSLOGSYSMAP.

Above table need to have ECC Dev as source and bw dev as target. same in bw as well.

if above table showing prod servers names then ask basis team to change logical mappings of dev systems properly.

Later try to replicate your data source and activate it.

After that you can cross check which  source name is showing at data source level at RSA1-->data source tree.

Later you can activate transforamtions and dtp.

try to run dtp and check it.

Hi Bhaskar,

Please check whether source system for the data source is pointing to correct one. OR Try to go to  source system in RSA1 ==> Modeling ==> Source system. Select your source system right click and click on check. It will show error if it is not pointing to correct logical source system.

Hi Bhaskar,

Check with Basis and see to it that BW-DEV is Pointing to ECC-DEV.

The Basis team have to do this setting.

Hi Basker,

Follow these steps,

Go to RSA1,find the info provider

Expand to see the data source and check the source system name assigned to it.

If it is production source system,send mail to basis team.They can help you out.

Please ask basis team to check in RSA1 and navigate as shown below

Dear Bhaskar,

Please check whether the PSA is attached to which source system, I mean is it still pointing to production.  Is the BW dev system connected to the dev ecc source system.
