SAP BPC 10 - Hierarchy Aggregation for Custom Time dimension not working

Hi,

We are using BPC 10 in that as per the Client requirement for Consolidation we created a new Time Period 2013.00 (Opening Period of 2013)

Now when we are extracting the report I am unable to see any aggregated data for entire year from (2012-2013) inside 2013.00

As I can only see the data at Base Level and not for any Members & Children.

Now I want to see the proper aggregated data with proper hierarchy what changes are required in Time dimension or any other changes are expected?

Please help need your guidance.

PFA Screen shot and please suggest the respective changes.

As the data coming from ECC flows into period 2013.00 for the year 2012-13 so I need to use the period 2013.00.

Kindly suggest the changes so that the hierarchy aggregation works properly.

Please, create 2013.Q0 with parent 2013.TOTAL and child 2013.00!

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion.

There is 1 doubt here as my Report is of the Period 2012-13 so the Calendar Column should contain the value as "2013.TOTAL" or "2012.TOTAL".

As suggested by Vadim, create 2013.Q0 with parent 2013.TOTAL and child 2013.00

The values for member 2013.00  and 2013.Q0 in calender (HIERARCHY) is 2013.Q0, 2013.TOTAL respectively

Thanks for the detail reply.

But here is where I am getting confused my report contains data of 2012-13 i.e from 2012 April to 2013 March.

Also as per the guidance I have been suggested to add it as "2013.TOTAL"

Currently I am aware that my period which is been defined as 2013.00 has calendar "2013.TOTAL".

So should I change it and include it as "2012.TOTAL" ?

Where you want to see this period - in 2013 as opening?

Then it has to be under 2013.TOTAL. 2013.TOTAL in your case is a fiscal year, not a calendar!

Why do you require 2013.00 as opening period ? any specific requirement?

Bellow is the standard structure of TIME dimension having 12 months , 4 quarter, for 1 year .

If you want to add 2013.00 in total year then assign parent 2013.TOTAL to it.

Thanks for your reply.

As per the Consolidation activity requirement all the data will be moved to the Opening Period of 2013.00.

But when we are looking at the Consolidation BS Report for Opening Period 2013.00 there is no Hierarchy and I can only see the data at Base Level i.e GL.

Below is the config for 2013.00

I am very new to Consolidation so please suggest what changes are required in above period so that I can the Group level aggregated data.

Also we are extracting the Report for the Period 2012-2013.

So suggest the changes reflecting the respective year of 2012-13

First - there is no screenshot, I want to see all months of the year!

Second - for this special member 2013.00 create standard 3 level structure:

2013.TOTAL

     2013.Q0

          2013.00

Where 2013.Q0 - artificial quarter 0

Also to add the above information in SAP BPC 10 NW we have defined the Consolidated Model with Data entry mode as "YTD"

If your model tyoe is YTD then probably you need to report on last period of year.
