Change of personnel area

Hi all,

We have sales men created in PA30 and now we shall activate travel management. Following info types are already active:

- 0000 actions

- 0001 organizational assignment

- 0002 Personal data

- 0006 Addresses

- 0007 Planned working time

- 0017 Travel privileges

There are some of the employees that have wrong personnel area in info type 0001 and need to be changed but when we try to change in PA41 we got following error message:

Organizational reassignment not permitted

Message no PG162

Diagnosis

The organizational reassignment is not possible because

The previous and new personnel areas are assigned to different country groupings (MOLGA)

or The organizational assignment (feature IVWID) and the employee have different infotype view indicators.

System Response

The organizational reassignment is rejected.

Procedure

Check the attributes of the personnel areas, the settings in feature IVWID, and the employee´s infotype view

indicator in the Payroll Status infotype (transaction SE16, table PA0003, field VIEKN).

Before travel management the employees are assigned to wrong personnel area that belongs to different country. Is it impossible to change the personnel area so we must create new personnel no for these employees?

Many thanks in advance!

BR L

You have to check this with your HR colleagues!

The personnel area is set up for another country indicates that you have done a wrong assignment.

Hi, check your hr company structure - MOLGA, Personnel area and subarea section in the IMG.

Detail questions you better ask in the corresponding "HCM Community". Best regards and good luck, Sigi

    Hello,

I agree. Changing the contry of existing personnel area may obsolute other EE master data.

Please create a new personnel area as required and then

You can transfer the EE to new personnel are through transfer action.

OR, you can re-execute the hiring action and then force retro payroll run to reflect all changes  to payroll cluster.

    Hope this helps.

    Thank you,

    Saurabh
