SAP Fiori for CRM - oData Implementation uses BAPIs?!

Hi,

today I have analyzed the backend/gateway implementations of the SAP Fiori for CRM Application "My Accounts". Can anybody explain me, why SAP has decided to use the BAPIs instead of the BOL/GENIL Framework?

I am a CRM developer for many years. I thought, the BOL/GENIL framwork is "the" central api in SAP CRM! What's with the extensions on BOL/GENIL level?

Hi,

I have a feedback from a SAP Consultant (who was involved in the SAP CRM Fiori App development process) about my question, why they didn't use the bol/genil framework for the SAP CRM Fiori Apps:

- Better performance without BOL/GENIL framework

- BOL/GENIL should only by used in CRM WebUI and not for other appliations
