Missing 'Determin from Variant' function in BW Broadcaster in 7.4

Hi All,

This is regarding the Bex broadcaster ...

When setting up a BW 'Broadcast' using a 'Query View' as the source, the 'Determine from Variants' function in the 'General Precalculations' tab is not available.

If we create a variable assignment using 'Determine Here' (e.g. 'VAR_01') the variant is then available in the selection screen.

If we broadcast the underlying 'Query' on which the 'View' is based, then tthe 'Determine from Variant' function is available.

I believe that this was working prior to the recent upgrade.

Please let me know is this the change in new 7.4 functionality

Hi,

Can you please check whether the variant of query you created is user-specific.

Only 'NON-user-specific' variants can be used for broadcasting.

Can you please create a globle variant for the query and check whether it helps you.

Hi Sapna,

The Variants which are there are not user specific.

Recently we have upgraded our system to 7.4. After that we are facing this issue.
