Hello Experts,
I have a problem with a bunch of materials where the profit center and valuation class are correct, but SAP is unable to determine the correct cost centre when the material is being written off.
What could be the possible reason for it?
Thanks in advance,
S
Thanks guys for your kind response and advise. I have identified the problem. The movement type was incorrectly getting picked.

Hi,
Check which cost center is mapped for cost element for which GL is triggered of postings in OKB9 for automatic or check any validations and substitution and any developments has been done for the cost element and cost center mapping.

Hi Surajit,
What transaction you are using for material write off? If you have defined cost centres based on BA or profit centres or valuation area for the cost element in OKB9. The system will default it from it. You can also check any substitution defined for the cost element in GGB1 or check the cost element master data if any default cost centre maintained in KA02.

Mukthar
