Saving Order in a draft only

Hi,

I want to save an order as a draft only till a particular time persiod. Can Order Template suffice the purpose , from what I saw in order template if I reopen a template to add more items it gets saved as new template but I want it to get added to the same template.

Please suggest how can this be best achieved,

Why don't you save it as a quote, and once the order is ready, convert the quote into a sales order. That is a standard SAP process.

I think I missed to mention that I am trying to achieve this on the ISA side so my shop is attached to a standard order txn. I have to provide this extra feature of saving the shopping basket till a particualr time period.

Any suggestions.
