inspection type 11 and 06

Hi, i have maintained 11 insp type in qm view of material master. created delivery without order using vl01n tcode and observed that insp lot is not generated in qa32. could you please advise what need to be corrected. also advise steps in creating the insp lot for customer returns (06). thank you.

Hi Raju,

To generate inspection lot after outbound delivery creation:

1.assign inspection lot origin 11 to related Delivery type

(customizing path: SPRO --> Quality Management--> Quality Inspection-->

Inspection lot Creation-->Inspection at shipping --> Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type)

2.assigne Inspection type 11 in material Master

3.Create delivery with related delivery type( Vl01N)

4.After creating delivery inspection lot will be generated with origin ‘11’.

and to generate inspection lot in  sale return process:

1.assign inspection lot origin 06 to related Delivery type

(customizing path: SPRO --> Quality Management--> Quality Inspection-->

Inspection lot Creation-->Inspection at shipping --> Assign Inspection Lot Origin to Delivery Type)

2.assigne Inspection type 06 in material Master

3.Create sale return order(Va01)

4.Create delivery with related delivery type( Vl01N)

5.After creating delivery inspection lot will be generated with origin ‘06’.

Hi Mehrali, even though i maintained as you said i could not see the created inspection lot in qa32 tcode. could you advise for both 11 and 06.

Hi Raju,

Please can you check if "Basic Settings at Plant Level" is activated with appropriate details, in case if  you are activating QM for the first time.

If both the inspection types "11" and "06" is added in your material master - QM view, please can you check inspection type "Active" indicator is ticked.

Also can you check with your technical team if any other enhancement is active which is blocking your inspection lot creation. At the same time your can also check customer exit QAAT0001.
