SAP BW7.3 - compounding navigation attribute description error

Hi all,

I have the following scenario:

SAPKW73011

InfoObject Z1CUSTOLD (compounding 0DIVISION, 0DISTR_CHAN and 0SALESORG) without attributes

InfoObject 0CUST_SALES (compounding 0DIVISION, 0DISTR_CHAN and 0SALESORG) with navigational attribute Z1CUSTOLD

If I launch a BEx query against 0CUST_SALES the description of the navigational attribute Z1CUSTOLD IS WRONG, however the description of the same char. but displayed as an attribute (not as a navigational attribute) of 0CUST_SALES IS CORRECT

The description of the navigational attribute Z1CUSTOLD is not taking in account the compounding and always shows the description for the entry #/#/#/101071 (AAA)

What's the problem and what can we do to solve it?

Many thanks in advance!

Abraham

    Hi Abraham,

are you using any constant selections in the key figures for Z1CUSTOLD or the compounding char?

Is the query defined on a multi provider├č is the identification for the navigation attribute as well as the compounding objects done correctly in the multi?

    regards

    • Hi Cornelia,

Creating new records (that only belongs to the new scenario with the compund) it works perfectly (as expected). May be there is something related with the previous records before the compounding enhancement.

    Hi Abraham,

To me the described behaviour seems to be caused by an inconsistency or a bug. If you cannot find any relevant notes for your support package SAPKW73011 I suggest you open an SAP incident (component BW-BEX-OT-F4).

    BR Bernhard
