Hello,
I would need help on the following scenario:
The BOM is built as follows:
A = finished goods (sales order assigned to WBS element) we use PS for this purpose. Project stock.
B, C = Semi-finished goods (Manage in stock, not assigned to WBS element or sales order). SF goods might be manufactured before sales order receipt for finished goods. My client must be able to create requirements for SF in advance (planned order/production order). Never for Finished goods !
D, E, F = components (Manage in stock, not assigned to WBS element or sales order). Components might be procured in advance.
How can we manage this scenario in SAP. Which planning strategy to be used ?
Thanks for your help
Best regards
Corentin
Hi Corentin,
Normally PS related production industry fall under strategy group-21(Make-to-order prod./ project settlement).
Component procurement can be start before project receive & once received project no then transfer normal stock to project stock.
thx

Hi,
Thanks a lot for your help.
I guess with the strategy 21 I am not able to manage any forecast (independent requirement) for finished goods. So if I need to anticipate the production for semi-finished goods, and procurement for raw material, I will need to manage Forecast (independent requirement via T-code: MD61) at this level.
But which strategy to be used for semi-finished goods and raw material ? (planning strategy 70 ?).
Thanks for your help
Best regards
Corentin
