SAP HR & Payroll Overpayment System Calculation

Former Member

Hi

Is their a program or schema that I can use to get the system to generate the differences from what they were paid to what they should have been paid.

Currently we do this manually but the system must do this when it calculates a retro changes into the current period.

I have tried using GRET on the sim but just get an error.

Thanks

Since you are talking about Payroll Calculation, it would be useful if you were to mention for what Country Code you are working on.

Second, there is probably nothing in SAP that can tell you what an employee "should have been paid" since payment is based on the data entered.

On the other hand, if an employee received a pay and the data is changed retroactively after the payment, then a retroactive calculation will be executed.  In such a situation, if your Payroll Journal or Remuneration Statement are set-up to provide the information, you could generate the current pay and look at the retroactive adjustments (note that some of the Remuneration Statement parameters would allow you to print a "should have been" statement for a previous pay.

If you don't want to create the data yet, you could run a Payroll Simulation with the option to print the remuneration statement checked and look at the result, or run a Payroll Simulation with the "Display log" box checked and drill down into that log to see what was and what should have been.

Thanks for your reply.

I am using the UK SAP.

When I say what they should have been paid I mean based on the current information in the system.

Basicly is their a way of getting a month by month breakdown of the reto out of the system ether as a report or on payslips of the recalculated months.

Thanks

I'm not familiar with Payroll for UK, but in the selection screen for the Canadian Remuneration Statement (PC00_M07_CEDT) there are 3 fields for Retroactive Runs(Print../Layout.../Sort...), and if I remember correctly, the "Layout of retroactive runs" option J enables you to get one Remuneration Statement for each Period.

Try playing with your options.

Wagetype reporter will do what you want. You may need to format the output into excel as a Pivot for a clean display month by month.
