BO 4.0 - Problem with AUDITING

Hello,

I use BI 4.0 and I have a problem with auditing.

Each evening, my server reboot, all servers APS or Central Management Server are up. The problem is in section "Auditing", each day, cursor "Set Evenst" is positioned on "Off" and I have to put it on "Default".

Why BO does not retain this setting ?

     Depends in the order the system is shot down and back-up being done.

Proper Steps:

1. STOP the SIA
2. Do all your Database back-up and FRS back-up
3. Make sure Database fully on-line and ready
4. START the SIA

You issue will happen if the CMS & Audit are not 100% ready before you start the SIA.  You also can't leave your SIA running.  The HOT BACK-UP if for CMS only.

What version of BI are you running and what is your CMS & Audit Database?

we have the same issue here with BI 4.1 SP6. Does your problem still exisists or did you solved it?

yes , our problem still exist and we didn't solved it.

But we will migrate to an new environment with an earlier version (4.1 latest SPx) in the following weeks, and we hope we won't have the problem anymore.

Your post is not a good news, for us...

Thank you for your answer, we are in a migration project. If we could find a regularity for this issue, we will open a support case with SAP. I´ll keep you informed in case of any new experiences.

I can't find anything about this being a known product issue (what BI4.0 SP0x do you have installed?)  so it could well be an auditing configuration problem - is your Audit database setup ok, connectivity, and being writen-to?

Maybe check out something along the lines of Note 1803708 - The health of CMS and Adaptive Job Server is showing red in BI 4.0.  and Note 1828472 - Monitoring tables are not created in Auditing Database
