Planned cost is updated inRM

HI Experts,

All materials we are having the Std price FG to ROH. So we are update the planned price in FG in Ck24 (other prices) level its impact all sub components such as RM also.But my client requirement they don't want update RM planned price  in RM master records. they want only for FG Fg is updated correctly.is there any config setting is available.

Hi..

Though your requirement is not very clear..but so far I understand your client does not want to calculate standard/plan cost for RM....is it?

First of all pl clarify the following questions:

1. Are your raw mat used in BOM of SFG/FG products as components trading items or inhouse manufacturing items..? You have already told that price control is "S"

However if my assumption is correct..that your RM is procure items and used in BOM of FG..then you need not to released standard cost for RM items...only update the price at MR21 and will be updated in accounting view of MMaster.

I guess ur assumption wrong. go to the Ck24 check screen clearly please.

Ck24 we are update other prices such as planned price or tax prices .We  are updated the planned prices in FG level its automatically updated to RM level also (planned prices).they  dont want update the planned prices in RM level. I think its clear.

Hi

In CK24 we are marking and releasing cost what we have estimated in CK11N...so first you have to estimate the cost and then you can mark/release the cost which will be updated in costing view.

So..when you are doing CK24 for finished goods, system automatically updated the components costs of that FG materials also as RM is defined as "S"

If your RM is with V price control...this will not happen

I don't know even I understood you clearly but I think if you tick 'Do Not Cost' indicator in Rms, you will get the desired results.

Ck24 we are update the planned prices(other prices tab) in FG level.

But it is planned price is (costing  2 tab) Raw material  also updated.

IN BOM  FG material we have given the Sub components of RM . that's is the reason the planned prices is update in the RM level in costing tab2. But my requirement below

We are doing FG Planned price update through  Ck24, not require planned price for RM in Costing tab 2 in material master.

Hi Reddy,

Have you tried to select the check box "Do not cost" for the RM as suggested by Mr.Rajneesh? If you select it then system will not calculate cost for the RM. But this changes will impact if you run the costing again.
