Hello,
This is my first post, so I'm not sure if I'm in the correct thread.
I want to know other factors why BOM do not show the components in Production Order after converting via MD16.
Previous and succeeding Orders did not experience the problem, it just happened one time.
I tried to check the BOM in CS03 and there were no changes and it is still Valid.
Thanks in advance!
Hi RA,
Please check the validity date of BOM versus the creation of Planned Order.
It might be the timing. But for the TECO status, is this happen right after the conversion?
You mean that instead of CRTD or REL it shows TECO?
Thanks,
Brian

Hi Brian,
Sorry I forgot to get back on this.
I believe OPKP maintenance is used in our system.
As per our process, Planned Order is automatically marked for deletion when converting to Production Order.
I sent this to SAP and they advised that BOM may not be completely exploded that's why the Components did not appear. Unfortunately we cannot trace back the Planned Orders to check.
This same process is done every week, but only happened those past 2 dates and no reoccurrence since.
Do you think this could be caused by any slowness issue in the system?
Hello Rayan,
Do you have issue with particular material or all materials?
Please do the Read PP Master Data in your production order and check whether BOM explode in your order.
Also check the current stock and requirements list MD04, the system displays planned orders with exception message '52' ('No BOM selected').

Hi Rupesh,
Thanks for the response.
The issue occurred to a particular material, normally the BOM explodes completely and it only happened 2 days (Dec 19 and 24) last December all of a sudden.
Currently we are not experiencing the issue anymore.
But I would like to know what could have possibly caused this.
Hello Ryan,
The BOM is read during the conversion of a planned order into a production order and you don't have any changes to BOM In that case there might be some inconsistency performance when reading the bill of material at that time.
For all these order you can do the Read PP Master Data.

Hi,
That's the problem, the BOM is valid up to Year 9999. No changes were made since.
But from that scenario, the components did not reflect.
In addition to the details, Status of the Production Order is Technically Completed "TECO PRT PRC BCRQ MANC NMAT SETC"
We also tried to test if it was caused by locking in either BOM or Material Master but still, we can't copy the issue.
I'm not sure what other could cause this?
Thanks for the response!
Hi Santos,
As you already mentioned that there is no issue for previous and succeed order, whether the material is same? How the order status has been changed to TECO when you convert from planned order into process order? if the material is different, then please check the BOM status, whether it's in active or inactive. Please revoke the TECO status and do read 'PP Master Data' to copy the BOM details. Please check and revert back.
Thanks
Hello,
Yes, that's correct. The same material was used for the previous and latter orders.
I wonder why this happened all of a sudden. NMAT Status shows "No Material components" even though there is.
Since the succeeding orders were completed without the problem, what could have possibly caused it.
