SRM UI Add on

Hi Gurus,

1. If a client have not setup internal MDM Catalogs or external punch-out catalogs and not done any configuration related to Catalogs in SRM,can we still use SRM UI Add on Component only for Material Masters ( Say creation of SC carts in SRM using Product Masters) using the new SRM UI Add on.

2. If answer to 1. above is yes,then what all setting must be done to setup SRM UI add on and make it working.

Hello Ankur,

As far i know it is possible to use SRM UI Add on component without the catalogs as well.

For using SRM UI Add-on it is necessary to have TREX configured to use catalog as well as product related data. There is a SAP Note which contains the details about how to configure SRM UI Add-on specifically for this.

Please check Note 1911004 which might be of some help to understand whether it suits your requirements and if it does then the various configurations which might be required.

please address the below query:

This is with reference to SAP note on SRM UI Add on and Fiori Aps

191004 : Ref section 2.4.4.4 : Import SRMProductMasterData

There is a step mentioned to load the TREX tables by using transaction /SRMNXP/CAT01  schedule job immediately

This is to load the TREX tables.But once this is done, how does this ensure that a new material master that is replicated into SAP SRM using ( CRM middleware say transactions R3AS, R3AC1,R3AM1) is also loaded automatically into TREX tables. Please advise.

Hi Ankur,

I think there is an option to do delta indexing as mentioned in the same Note. You can schedule it as a job.

The delta loading of the TREX servers and indexing both can be scheduled as jobs.

If we are running SRM on HANA, do we still need TREX Installation separately? If not required, what Destination we should point for TREX Setup to HANA DB?

Hi Ankur,

It is possible to use the cross-catalogue search feature in the new UI add-on to search through the product master in the SRM system (the product master has to be first created / replicated in the SRM server from ECC).

But, for the cross catalog search to work in the new UI, it is mandatory that we have the TREX or HANA database configured to the system.

The 'SRM UI Add-ON Cookbook' in the note - 1911004 mentions the steps (running a report to import product master data in TCode: /SRMNXP/CAT01).

Could you kindly advise how to create a limit shopping cart in the new SRM UI Add on Interface. We don't see the option for creating limit Shopping Carts

Hello Ankur,

The Limit SC is supported in SRM UI Add on from SPS 03 onwards. You can check for the detailed instructions mentioned in the OSS Note 1911004. This note specificaly mentions how to enable limit form.

We dont have any catalogs(neither MDM Internal nor Punch-out catalogs) in our landscape .

We just want to use SRM UI Add on for Limit SC, and Internal Goods & Services Shopping Cart. For this when we select a product category in the SRM UI add on   " Search" section and then select any material(product), the field to enter price is always greyed out.We want the same capability as we have standard SRM 7.0 for Internal Goods & Services were user can enter price and Quantity. For our case, we can see the price field as non-editable.Please advise how this can be fixed so that the price field is editable.
