Can someone tell me how to create a BP organization that only has a PO Box address?

When I go to create a BP Organization in CRM 7.0, it comes back with a result for an address, but it leaves the section to fill in the address number blank, & so I click 'Save Organization', but it comes back with the error message: The House Number must start with either a letter or number. How do I create these BP Organizations thatonly have a PO Box address?

    Hello Sean,

    When you say BP organization, I'm thinking you mean that you are creating a corporate account as a business partner (as opposed to a person or group). Am I correct?

    What role are you selecting when you create this BP. Is it General or Sold-to for example?

    The reason why I ask is because the term you used, organization, is a little confusing. When you create organizational units in the organizational model, business partners are typically automatically created (in standard) with the role organization. It would be a little odd to create BPs with the role organization. So, again, what role are you creating this business partner with?

    There is IMG config where you choose the fields that will be display only, required etc and many times configuration of business partners and their tcode BP fields is done this way.

    • Hi Sean,

      There are several customizing that must be adjusted in order to allow you to create a BP with just the PO box.

      As already pointed out check:

        -Screen configuration, if your using web ui there could be some screen defined mandatory fields, and easy way to check that its to try to create the account from sap gui transacction BP.

      - Check also : Field attributes per BP role where you may find some restrictions too.

      - Last but not least check on the General customizing of countries address the restrictions stablished for validation depending on country.

    Hi Sean

    Whether you are using the BP or weblient, if the house number is set to mandatory then you will not be able to save without mandatory pieces of information. use Tx SPRO IMG>Cross App Comp> SAP BP>BP>Basic Settings> Field Groupiing>

    Configure Field Attributes per BP Role

    Here under the address tab, should be able to change the mandatory/optional on per field basis.
