To All,
I would like to get some expereienced advise from people with knowledge about my requirements.
I am currently using SAP business one 8.8 PL20 and with a couple of addon core systems and accellos.
I am planning on upgrading to the lastest version of SAP B1 v9.1 using SQL. I have purchased a new server for this upgrade.
Server specs are 2 x quadcore processors at 2.4GHz, 32GB RAM, Raid 1 - 145GB SAS HDD (for OS), Raid 1 - 600GB (For SQL data), Raid 1 - 600GB (SQL Log), Windows server 2012 R2.
my questions are:
1) On the specification list MS SQL 2014 is compatiable with SAP B1 v9.1. However i have been advised to go with SQL 2012 as SQL 2014 have not been tested fully. Please can someone let me know why this would be or any issue i would come across if we do go for SQL 2014.
2) will there be any issues with upgrading from SAP B1 version 8.8 Pl20 to lastest v9.1??
3) Any other issues i would need to consider before going ahead?
Many thanks in advance.
Hi,
1. SQL Server 2014 supports 9.1 PL04. Not sure about advice about SQL 2012. Refer SAP note
2105908 - Microsoft SQL Server 2014 supported
2. As per below SAP note, you can upgrade 8.8 PL20 to 9.1 PL04.
2087570 - Overview Note for SAP Business One 9.1 PL04
3. Wait for reply those got experience before. In general, there is no version/PL to fix all issues. There may some issues in all versions/PL.
Thanks & Regards,
Nagarajan
