Deactivation of Plant

Hi SAP Gurus,

We have one requirement and for this requirement, i gone through many docs but still i have some confusion so i am posting here. Actually, my client want to deactivate one plant from all prospective. From SD point of view, is there any chance to determine that particular Plant if we remove all the Shipping Point related data as well as Plant assignment data?

Is there any particular way, so that we can block the Plant from all prospective?

Hi,

Apart from above suggestions I would recommend that with the help of security restrict all the authorization for the said plant.

Remove delivering plant assignment - sales org, dis channel assigned to plant

This configuration is main for a plant used in SD

Further, as you said -

1. Master data - remove this plant from customer-material, customer and master masters

2. Shipping point determination - remove the entries with this plant

Hi,

When you are Deactivating the plant you mean you dont want to use the Plant Further.

you need to check from FI point of view

it does not much effect the SD point of view,you can keep the assignments as usual
