selection date on BOM

Hi friends,

I have created on bom on 07.01.2015. Now i want to archive that one.

on date 08.01.2015 in sara t.code i have selected selection date option and enterd the date 07.01.2015 and selection bom number and plant.

when i ran the job system will not delete the bom from data base.

but when i put the deletion flag manually system will delete the bom from data base.

but i want to delete based on selection date

please help me on this one.

Manoj,

You need to enter a key date in the Record invalid before field also.

See below info from SAP Help:

Selection according to Date Effectivity:

If you choose this option all BOM headers and items that lose their effectivity before the key date are deleted, irrespective of whether the BOMs have a deletion flag.
You should carry out this function if, due to changes with history, you generated datasets that are no longer relevant to the current processing situation and that are only required for future reference.

If you choose this option, enter a key date in the Record invalid before field. This key date must be in the past. The system deletes all data records that lose their effectivity before this key date.

In my case in which date i have to entered.I read this help previously befor post the issue.

Please help me .otherwise give one example from you side.It will help me on this.

Try with selecting Selection of date effectivity and Enter the 08.01.2015.

When i was entered 08.01.2015 system will ask past date. Thats why i have give 07.01.2015.

Hi Kiran,

Thanks for reply.Alerady i saw that thread .When i was activated the deletion flag for header material syetm will run the archving proocess sucessfully.

But when i was selet the date validity it will not work

you told you want to try from your side with date validity.

did you check any scenario ?
