PO release indicator '1' but need to change the delivery date (only)

Hello MM Gurus,

I set the PO release indicator '1' which mean un-changeable, but now management want to allow the changes of delivery date 'only' after released.

Is it possible?

Should I change the release indicator to changeable (2-6)? but how to make all fields un-changeable except the delivery date?

    Hi Wiliam,

Yes, I'm afraid you need to change the changeability of release indicator to 2~6.
Because changeability 1 will prevent any change on PO once it has been released.

For your query that how to make "delivery date" as the only editable field after PO released,
I'm afraid you need to restrict this in the screen layout for ME22N.

Go to IMG-> Purchase Order -> Define Screen Layout at Document Level

Here for line AKTV, ME22,  NBF(if this is standard PO), PT0F(if this is standard item), go to
tab 'Deadline Monitoring', and mark 'delivery date' as optional. For other fields in all tabs,
you can mark them as display or optional as per your requirement.

    Hope this can help you!

    • Yes. For PO release strategy, field selection will not work. (This facility is applicable for PR only)

      You only have two options:

      1. Can't Change (all fields will be on display mode)

      2. Can change (all fields will be editable mode).

Instead of this, you need to create you own development by using a badi or user exit.

    Dear William,

Whether the release strategy get rest while changing delivery date...

If No - Kindly go for screen layout setting.

If Yes - Make your release indicator "6" or use the following BADI "ME_PROCESS_PO_CUST".
