Fields are larger and overlapping in Google Chrome Personas 3.0 SP3.0

Hi,

Yesteday everything was ok in Google Chome, but this morning all fields in Screen Personas 3.0 is suddenly much bigger and overlapping each other.

This issue is not in internet explorer. Only in chrome so far.

To correct the overlapping control problem in Chrome: implement the latest version of the client note (SP04: 2376427, SP03: 2295996). This will fix the issue caused by the Chrome regression that introduced it.

Also, depending on what kernel version are you on, the latest kernel patch may already contain the correction (not just for Personas but also for webgui). I just verified that patch 118 for kernel 749 fixes the issue.

That is strange because the latest Personas client version has definitely fixed this issue for me wherever I tried it (at least on full screens).

Perhaps you could try to clear the MIME cache and force the client to be reloaded... but if this still doesn't help, then open an incident.

Hi,

It's not a popup, don't let the shadow of the screenshot fool you 😉 it was just a clipping of the entire screen.

That is a popup window. As mentioned, the fix doesn't work yet on popups, only full screen. Our developers are working on the fix for popups as well.

Implement the latest version of the Personas client note (SP03: 2295996, SP04: 2376427) which contains a change to fix this issue caused by a Chrome regression. This will work for full screen but not for popup windows. We are looking into a solution to get the fix working on popup screens as well.

I have the same issue in IE - not in Chrome.

I have the same issue since the last update to google Chrome Version 56.0.2924.87 (Windows 7 64 Bit). It seems it is an general rendering issue with the html gui (not only a personas issue).

Even new Installation of Chrome has brought no improvement. 😞

I've tested with http://production(dot)company.com:port/sap/bc/personas/&sap-personas-runmode=0 (obviously not our personas url, just an example).

Issue is still the same. So I will go ahead and create an Incident.

The URL should be http://production(dot)company.com:port/sap/bc/personas?sap-personas-runmode=0

But as mentioned, it is unlikely that this problem would be caused by Personas, so the ticket is the right way to go.

This is not related to Personas, rather to ITS and probably Unified Rendering (in other words, Personas doesn't control this).

My guess is that there was a kernel patch change. The same should be also happening in the webgui with Personas completely turned off. Try to replicate it using the webgui service and add the URL parameter sap-personas-runmode=0 to the URL. If it still happens, create an incident in component BC-FES-WGU to get help from the webgui team.
