Transformation rule issue

Hi,

When i try to activate the transformed DSO to Infocube, the following message displayed;

"Rule (target field: 0CALDAY): Time-reference characteristic 0CALDAY not filled"

The Target with 0CALDAY but the source do not have such field.

I am not able to proceed for DTP without resolving this.

Any advise?

Hi Shekinah,

What is the requirement of the Calday ? is it System Date or are u deriving it using Look Up ?

Or Map the Invoice/Payment/Delivery date to that field Calday.

If its not being used then you can  remove the Field from Cube or you can populate SYS-DATUM.

if you are using the BW 7.x

map the created on date/change date/ modified date to 0CALDAY form source to target.

if don't idea which date you can use check with the client for 0CALDAY.

if you are using the BW 3.x check the below scrren shot for reference at update rules level.

please let me know have any queries.

Hello Shekinah.

The Time-reference Characteristic must not be left blank so the error popped up.

Solution:

The 0CALDAY can be found in the cube in the following path:

Select any key figure in the update rule -> click on it ->There would be a tab for Time Ref. You would fine 0CALDAY there. Do all your manipulations here.

You can test the correctness of your data flow by the following way.

Fill all blank fields of 0CALDAY with some date e.g. 31.12.9999 and then try to pass
