Blank page issue in MSS employee profile EHP7

Hi,

We are on NW 7.4 using EHP7 based ESS , MSS role. Employee profile in MSS which i access via my team shows blank page (grey screen).

Employee profile is visible in ESS but not in MSS.

In LPD_CUST , I am using SAP standard entry with alias as SAP_HCM_PROXY . All the sicf services and gateway services are activated.

is there some additional parameters to be added in lpd_Cust for mss?

Any idea what might be wrong. How to get content in MSS employee profile?

once can u check in sicf > sap>bc> ui5_ui5 > hress_emp_pro_g is in activated or not  ? right click and check ...activate that total ui5_ui5 node in Sicf once and check

can i know which browser and version ur using upgrade ur browser or else try with IE 11 or 10 version browsers , generally if u activate HCM_PD_UI_1 this in SFW5  the structure and team view shud get visible or else go to SM30 - V_THV_APP_C and check against Activate Hierarchy visualization with HIERARCHY name :MSSBIZVIEW  in that and try again

Hi Jwala,

I am using chrome browser. Service hress_emp_pro_g  is activated and HCM_PD_UI_1 business function is actiavted. The config in MSSBIZVIEW is already done. Do i need to pass some paramters in lpd_cust?

Any other steps that i might have missed out?

Hi,

Using browser debug tools , it shows error as  " Cannot read property 'MANAGER' of undefined "

can i know which version browser and version ur  using and version always use higher version browser for UI5 applications or else once try in compatibility mode in INTERNET explorer , beside address bar option will be there( compatibility mode) once click it and check again and is ur system alias hcm_proxy is registered in portal or not this also u need to check

I ahve checked using IE 10 and chrome. Still same issue. Works in ESS but not in MSS. Do i need to pass any value in target app paramters or some FPM event id in LPD_cust?

can you share your screenprint earlier we had seen similar issue, after following recommendation in note 1935713 it worked. please maintain the application parameter 'sap-ie=EDGE' in launch pad customizing as mentioned in the note 1935713 http://scn.sap.com/thread/3676721 share your LPD_CUST for MSS Employee_menu you can do HTTPtrace and verify as well

Hi Navya,

Hope you are doing good.We have seen some similar issues due to the kernel version; please see note 2008661 - SAP GUI for HTML: Javascript error - unknown destroy() function.

Also check note 1915224 - SAP GUI for HTML: Javascript error on "getAttribute".

you are using portal correct ? Also, did you clear the cache? In the transaction go the Role: ESS and Instance: MYINFO for all the applications 'Employee Profile', 'Create Leave Request' and 'Salary Statement', go to edit mode and in Advance parameters sections maintain the parameter as mentioned above too

Hi Siddharth,

Yes. I am using portal. After maintaining paramter sap-ie=EDGE in target app paramters , it doesnt give me syntax error but gives me complete grey page. I have deleted the cache as well. Any more settings to be done to pass the manager id for the employee profile application?

As specified in the note , I do not get syntax error but grey coloured blank page after adding  sap-ie=EDGE in target app paramters. Is this note still applicable for NW 7.4 portal EHP 7 SAP_UI level 10 and SAP_GWFND level 8 ?

not showing direct subordinate employees

You needn't have the setting in MSS as you did there, it should be only in ESS, Please check here http://scn.sap.com/message/15669702 Same issue, follow and invalidate the cache, that's important

Hi Navya,

try to debug BAdI HRTMC_IM_DR_FIELDS_MANAGER - it contains a field 'MANAGER' and it is also called, when you click on employee's photo in My Team lane.

cl_hrtmc_cp_basic_utilities=>get_manager method is called

you can check if you are missing some customizing for external relationship in tcode OOVK regarding 742 relationship:

S	A	742	S	CL_HRTMC_EXT_RELATION_A742
S	B	742	S	CL_HRTMC_EXT_RELATION_B742

Check Business Functions are activated

HCM_ESS_UI5_1

HCM_ESS_WDA_1

HCM_ESS_WDA_2

HCM_ESS_WDA_3

Check Relationships

For Manager Position you have to maintain S - O (A/B012)

Check Manager Positon is having  B002 (S-S)

Cross check O, S in 0001 Org Assignment infotype with 1001 Relationship Infotype same are maintained.

Hi,

In our case, once abaper debugged application , we found out that in table  V_T77TMCPARAMS , the entry with value ORG and Reporting line,  the expected parameter value was  DIRECT_002. It works only if  A002 relation is maintained in the table. It still doesn't work for manager having A012 relation.
