Hi,
I'm facing issue when i create a Gateway Service using SEGW t-code but if i use SE80 then it's working fine.
I think SEGW t-code is more complicated and also system alias identification is very complex and not working properly.
Can anyone suggest me whether to create Gateway service using SE80 will be better or SEGW.
Hi Ramana,
SEGW, when compared to code based implementation, would actually ease the effort you put to create a service. Please refer to the content available on SCN.
Thanks,
Best Regards,
Manvitha

Hi All,
Thanks for your reply.
Actually i was bit confused regarding SYSTEM ALIAS which is responsible for OData Service execution. Now i'm little comfortable with SYSTEM Alias.
Still i want to know the different kind of Configuration Steps for different deployment options including Gateway Configurations for SAP Workflow.
Can anyone provide me any proper documents by which i can go through and understand myself.
Please send me to my mail id if you have good documents.
Regards,
Ramana.

Hi,

Just wanted to add that SE80 way is deprecated. SEGW way is the right one. There are enough tutorials here on scn. Try it and post any problems in Gateway forums. Many of us are waiting to help.

Hi Ramana,
Creating the gateway services in SEGW is easy and convenient for most of us. Any ways we can tweak the generated code as per our need. I don't think identifying the system alias is a complex. You can check this link for details about system alias You can find the system alias settings in SPRO > SAP Reference IMG >
Regarding the issue related to the service not working when created through SEGW, we will be able to clarify when you post the error that you are facing .

Ekansh
