MB51 shift wise reporting functionality requirement

Hi Experts

This is related to MB51 reporting functionality

Requirement

User wants to see all transactions executed with respect to a plant and shift combination in MB51

Shift 1 - 11 am to 7 pm

Shift 2 - 6 pm to 7 am

But when i tried entering these inputs and am getting the error as " Lower limit is greater than upper limit"

Please guide me to meet the requirements

Hi Prasanna,

I do not think you can put the filter of time here. You only enter the date and execute. Export the list and get the details from excel.

Another option is, you will have to use any field for shift. You can activate any free fields (for example Goods recipient etc) and enter shift number in this field while entering the goods movements. Based on this field, you can give the reports / user can use mb51 and specify the date and shift number.

Hello Prasanna,

In the selection screen the when you provide the date as 06.01.2015 to 07.01.2015 and Time as 6PM to 7AM.

The system pick the start day first ie. 06.01.2015 separately  check for the record entered between time given in the selection screen.

It will be repeated for the each interval separately.

practically when the system is checking for the single date , the time given as 6PM to 7AM will be invalid . so the system gives you an error.

I would suggest to execute this transaction with the following selection as background job at the end of the shift 6pm to 7am every day ,

06.01.2015 to 07.01.2015

18:00:00 to 23:59:59

so the system will now fetch the transaction made on date 07.01.2015 also.

Hi Prasanna,

You could do it by adding an Program in the SPRO --> Materials Management --> Inventory management and Physical Inventory--> "Define Field Selection for Material Document List" . Please Take Help from the MM and ABAP Consultant.

We already have note 1407748  - MB51: Selection from material ranges using MPN fault implemented in system.

Is there any other way to fulfill this requirement

I think system evaluates fields individually.

So you have to run program for,

06.01.2015----------06.012015

18:00:00  ------------23:59:59

and

07.01.2015---------07.01.2015

00:00:00-------------07:00:00

then merge them in excel etc.
