HTTP error: 302 MOVED TEMPORARILY when using OAAD

Hi experts,

Would like to seek for some insight on the following problem that I've encountered.

I am using the standard transaction OAAD to upload an employee photo using the Business object PERL and Document type HRICOLFOTO.  After I have entered the personnel no. and try to upload the photo, I got the error 'HTTP error: 302 MOVED TEMPORARILY' and the photo cannot be uploaded.

Appreciate if any hints or guidelines can be provided so I can solved the problem.

Thanks,

Francis

Hello,

You can check the configuration of used service /sap/bc/contentserver in SICF.
A language and client is maintained on logon data.
You may need to change the configuration and let the client and
language field on logon data of alias empty as described at SAP note 1898201.

Regards,

David

Hi David,

Thanks for your hints. However, the problem is still there after I've done what was suggested in note 1898201. Any furhter ideas what will be the problem.

Thanks,

Francis

Hello Francis,

Seems the problem is the message server and the ICM are both listening on port, this is where the 302 is from.

You need to check and change the ICM port and message server port as follows:

ICM port: -T-code SMICM -> Menu Goto -> Services -> Select HTTP
-> Menu Service.

Message server port: T-code SMMS -> Menu Goto -> Services -> check the HTTP service.

You will have to change one of them because they are using the same port.

You may have to change the parameter ms/server_port_0 in the profile in order to avoid the above change lost after restart.

Regards,

David
