DSO activation taking more time

Hi All,

DSO activation is taking more time to finish. There is 12 Lakhs records in DSO. SID generation indicator is removed and did the settings in RSODSO_SETTINGS. As per the below link, i did the settings. Right now, it is taking 2 hours for DSO activation. Is there any other way to reduce the DSO activation time. Do i need to go for creating secondary Indexes. Please suggest. Regarding the above issue,Searched most of the threads in SDN, but issue is still there.

Hi Jalina,

Sec index is to increase the performance when  look up on dso .

If that dso is not used for reporting ,you can change it to write optimized type so that no activation is required. But after changing , primary index will not be there so  you need to create sec index for the key field objects .Please let me know if you are really want to change it to write optimized so that I can guide you as I have done .

If you want to keep as standard dso, clear old change log data .. which may improve activation.

Hi nath and Kool,

As this DSO is loading with 12 Lakhs records daily, If we increase the parallel processing there is less time reduce in the data load. As Nath told, today i have deleted the change log, i hope there is change in the DSO activation time. I will check and let u know tommorrow.

Did you increase Parallel processes from 3 to 5 and check?
