Enterprise Roles (5.3) vs Business Roles (10)

Hi everyone,

A quick question about the difference between these two things.  Here is what I'm trying to answer.

In 5.3, when you assign an enterprise role to a user, the approvers are from the roles that comprise the enterprise role.

In 10, when you assign a business role to a user, the approvers are those that are associated with the business role.  It seems there's no way to have the approvers of the roles that comprise the business role be used for approvals.

Is this right, or am I missing a config step somewhere?

You are correct in observing that by default the Business Role approval would be done by the ones listed against the business role and not the individual embedded technical roles.

So ... do you have any input on whether there is a way to get the approvers from the roles that are assigned to the business role instead of the approver assigned to the business role?

I believe that if business roles are used, then the role owner should be attributed against the business role definition itself.

You could assign all the necessary owners based from the technical roles against the single business role itself in BRM.
