OB13 - Lenght of GL Account number Changed

Former Member

Hi

Due to our requirement we have changed the length of G/L number from 6 to 10 in "OB13".

Existing G/L Accounts which were of the length "6" are not affected due to this changes.

When we extend or create G/L Accounts (6 digit) other than 10 digit G/L Account, the system in transaction code "FS00"

under the menu Settings >Hierarchy display > Display account in the navigation tree, the system give the prefix of "0000"

followed by the G/L account number which is of "6" digit.

Is there any chance we can truncate "0000" from the display?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Ratesh M. Pitale,

By default G/L a/c length will be 10 spaces and whether you choose to have 1 or 6 or 9 digit, then remaining zeros will be prefixed and it cannot be truncate from the display. Sorry. I also had similar issue before. Take care and Good luck

Hi Sam,

In the table SKA1 the field SAKNR the length is saved with 6 limit for old GL and for new or extended GL, the length is getting saved by 10 Digits.

This is the issue and may be due to which the display is coming in 10 Digits in SKA1 in FS00 Settings >Hierarchy display > Display account in the navigation tree.

Thanks,
