Understanding on Layout Sets

Hi all,

I am trying to understand how the layout set feature works on EP. As an example, i have a quite simple requirement here: create an iView based on the Banner Collaboration iView, in which the "edit" feature on the top right is hidden and not functional. In short, a "End User Banner", read-only.

Can you point me out some good documentation on this? Any how-to documents showing a simple example of Layout Sets and the sort (Resource Renderers and such)?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
