HANA at not-Appliance hardware

Dear Gurus.

Is it technically possible to install SAP Hana at not-appliance hardware? Usual  server with enough RAM?

Does the installation  wizard check for certified hardware? What kind of problems can raised?

We nede it for Demo/Training purposed only.

Regards

Vladimir Kogan

you can run HANA installation without checking hardware requirements. Install from CMD by executing:

    ./hdbinst --ignore=check_hardware

If you have enough RAM and overall server performance is good you'll not get any HANA related issues.

    Hello,

This can be done. I did it for lab testing.

You can find the details I used there :

    Best regards,

    Steve.
