DOc. log number range- MDBP

Hi All

Define number range 01 for the DOc. log number range- MDBP has nearly exhausted

Now we need to create a new number range 02 for the same

Where should we map this the new number range 02 ??? so that newly created number range will be considered for all newly created documents

Are there any prerequisites that needs to be checked before changing the old number range

Please advice
