How to ensure that the Enhancement implemented is correct?

Hi Gurus,

I was looking for an enhancement which suits our business scenario. However I managed to find a BADI and implemented it. Now I had achieved expected result for that task.

My question is

1. How to ensure that the implementation which I had did is exactly correct?

2. How to ensure that it doesn't affect other transactions in future>

Kindly give your suggestions on this...

Thanks!

Regards,

Manoj

    Hi

ans 1: that is  you need to test that enhancement with that code your req is fulfill or not.

ans2: you need to write that logic under condition i.e.

                        if sy-tcode =  '<your tcode>'

                                  <your code>.

                        endif.

    regards

    Hi Manoj,

If your business requirement is getting fulfilled that means your enhancement implementation is correct.

Impact on other transactions can be analyzed to some extent with functional consultant. We can analyze for which all tcodes that implementation is getting called.

I hope this is what you are looking for.

    1) Testing

    2) Testing

A long standing proof of computer science is that it is not possible to prove the correctness of many programs. It also not possible to identify algorithmically which programs are provable.

    Hi Manoj,

I guess you can close the thread if your question is answered.
