Questions on Online Tests - starting & stopping

Hi experts, we are delving into Online Test functionality and I have a few questions on how the player works for tests:

1. If a learner starts a test but is called away and cannot complete the test in one sitting, it appears that "Stop Test" will evaluate all the answers as if they have completed the whole thing (i.e., they could be "unsuccessful" if they haven't answered enough questions to hit the pass mark).  Is this correct?

2. It also appears that if they instead use the "logoff" button, the answers to questions completed to that point are not saved. Is this correct?

3. Wondering if there is an attribute I'm missing somewhere in the Test Author that will allow them to "pause" the course midway and bookmark their progress, and responses, to be evaluated later when they complete the entire test?

1. This is correct behaviour to my knowledge.

3. They need to run the test again. Bookmarking is not possible. And to be honest it doesnt sound like a test/exam if they can bookmark and come back. Cheating sounds extremely simple.

In my opinion the test functionality that is delivered through the authoring tool is sub-par and should be avoided if necessary. There are some options.

1. Create a SCORM package as a test/quiz. This will allow bookmarking.

2. Look into tools such as Workforce Performance Builder (SAP tool) or Questionmark (integrated with SAP - this is the "Rolls Royce" of tests)

Remember the test player requires local JAVA installation and correct versions - not good if the test is taken by many people. SAP have also communicated many years ago that the test player functionality will not be developed further.
