EPM report 'Edit report' disabled

Former Member

When one of the user runs the customized report from his PC, the 'edit report' option is seen disabled. However, the same report when it is mailed to me, I can open and see the report with 'edit' option. What could be the reason and how to over come. Both have the EPM SP 14. Appreciate inputs

True. The report was developed using MS 2007 excel and I am in MS 2007. Hence I could open it with out issue. However the end user and his team migrated to MS 2010 and all of his team is having the issue. What is the solution in such cases. Thanks for the inputs!

Upgrade the EPM add-in to SP20.  I've also seen some users on MS 2007 with similar issues that were resolved with SP20.

I hope this resolves your issues.

Hi Jeff,

If you read the topic author answer you will see that there are no issues with MS Office 2007 - only with 2010

Thank you, Vadim.

However, for the benefit of other users out there, I added that I had experienced some users with a similiar issue related to MS updates where the user could not Edit the report that they had previously created, and that the issue was resolved with the upgrade to SP 20.

I appreciate all you do for the users, Vadim!  Thanks for keeping us on our toes.

Happy New Year, by the way.

Hi Vadim, Just to my surpraise I noticed that the users who are having issues are MS 2007 only. And they are facing the issues. Not sure what could be the cause..

If you read the note you will see that MS security updates affect MS Office 2007 also.

MS security at BPC server or generally at office? In company generally they have upgraded to MS office 2010. Hence 50% users at 2007 and remaining at 2010. It is great information....I am trying to understand your statement fully.
