Dynamic Image Extensions

Hi,I have a crystal report/catalog that has prices, attributes, images, etc.
My images pull just fine, however I have discovered some images are not being included because they have an image extension other than JPG.
Although Crystal is capable of displaying different types of images, the issue is with my image formula because I currently specify only JPG. To solve this, I need to know if there is a way to wildcard the image extension...

Images are stored using the following convention, all unique values, but varying file extensions.
ItemID123_l.jpg
ItemID345_l.gif
ItemID567_l.bmp

ItemID789_l.jpg

This is my current image formula, pointing to my image paths and the image, and works great (except for omitting other extensions)

If {p21_view_inv_loc.primary_supplier_id}<>15607 Then
"\\b2bserver\b2b\item_images\" & {inv_mast.item_id} & "_l" & ".jpg"

Else ""

What I really need is something like this (that doesn't work)

If {p21_view_inv_loc.primary_supplier_id}<>15607 Then
"\\b2bserver\b2b\item_images\" & {inv_mast.item_id} & "_l" & ".???"

Else ""

Any help would be appreciated!

One option is to create or get a UFL (User Function Library) that adds file functions to Crystal formulas.  For example, one of the 3rd-party Crystal Reports UFLs listed at http:// kenhamady.com/bookmarks.html provides FileExists() and FileListFromWildCards() functions.
